State D-N-R officials say deer numbers have rebounded, crediting a mild winter and lower harvest levels in recent years. Hunters can buy deer licenses and apply to the lottery for antlerless deer permits beginning today. The deadline to apply for the antlerless permit lottery is September 6th. Hunters who purchase a license by September 6th are automatically entered into the lottery for the antlerless permit.
