BEMIDJI– The body of a 52-year-old Bemidji man was found southeast of Lakeview Liquor Sunday, Nov. 5.
According to the release from Chief of Police Mike Mastin, dispatch received a report of an unresponsive male in the Lakeview Liquor area Saturday, Nov. 4 around 8 p.m. Responding officers were not able to find the male, despite searching in the wooded areas just south of the liquor store. The officers did find tracks in the snow that appeared to be leaving the area.
The officers checked the area the following day and found the body of Richard Needham further east.
Mastin says the case is under investigation, and that there is no evidence of foul play.
