BREAKING: Three arrested after shots fired at Pete’s Place West

BEMIDJI— Three men were arrested Thursday afternoon after reportedly being involved in an assault at local gas station west of Bemidji.

The three suspects– Devion Ladell Beasley, 24; Andy Tillotson, 35; and Kevin Robertson, 31– were quickly located due to help from witnesses, according to a release from Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to an alert of gunshots at approximately 2:00 p.m., including the state DNR, Bemidji Police, Beltrami County Sheriff’s office, the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the state patrol and federal Bureau of Indian Affairs officials.

The release states that dispatch continued to provide information to attending officers from several witnesses who saw the altercation at Pete’s Place West, at the intersection of Highway 89 and Highway 2. Witnesses reported to officers that they saw the suspects leave the scene in two vehicles.

Beasley was taken into custody on suspicion of being ineligible to possess a firearm, and Tillotson and Robertson were arrested under suspicion of assault.
